Rimi Sen the gorgeous belle moved from Kolkata to Mumbai to achieve her dream of acting in Bollywood. Rimi came to notice in a Coke advertisement with Aamir Khan, by filmmaker Priyadarshan, who signed her for Hungama after mere ten minutes of audition.

In Hungama Rimi played a small town girl who comes to Mumbai in search of a job. The film also stars Akshaye Khanna, Aftab Shivdasani and Paresh Rawal. After that Rimi has been signed to play Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini's granddaughter in Ravi Chopra's family drama Baghbaan.

She has now been signed to play the leading role opposite Abhishek Bachchan for an action thriller, yet-to-be-titled movie will be produced under the Yashraj Films banner and will also star Uday Chopra and John Abraham.

Rimi Sen was born on September 21st 1981 in Kolkata, India. As a kid, Rimi always wanted to be an actress so after graduating she headed straight to Mumbai to pursue her acting career. Rimi got lucky when she got to shoot her first commercial for Coke with Aamir Khan which was being directed by Priyadarshan. The director was so impressed with her onscreen presence that he casted her in his next venture ‘Hungama’. Audiences loved the talent and confidence the actress displayed in the flick which lead to a slew offers knocking her doors.

Her last release of 2006 was the sequel to Dhoom titled Dhoom 2 which was a blockbuster hit, though she had very little presence in the film. In 2007 she appeared in the critically acclaimed Johnny Gaddaar alongside newcomer actor Neil Nitin Mukesh. Rimi is now going by the screen name Rimii. She explains the name change as a career move: there are many other Sens working in Bollywood right now, and a single name may help her stand out from the crowd and stay apart from others.
